At La Résidence d'Angkor we are serious about our commitment to encouraging sustainable tourism in Cambodia.
We take part in many local activities and projects and donate where we can directly.
Charitable organisations visit the hotel to give presentations to guests, encouraging visitors to be aware of the challenges facing Cambodia.
We are careful to work in harmony with the environment by recycling as much of the hotel waste as possible.
Here are some examples of the projects we have been involved in:
- We actively encourage our guests to donate items which they would otherwise dispose of at home. At the end of their stay many leave used clothing, books, pencils and pens. These are then washed, sorted and donated to local NGOs, charities and hospitals.
- On a regular basis, we donate used bed sheets, towels and pillows to the Angkor Hospital for Children.
These are just a few of the many projects in which La Résidence d'Angkor is currently engaged. We will have details of many more projects to follow in the near future.
